Fictional Moments
This series is an expansion of my street photography to find different ways to parse and examine moments captured with my camera. In the past couple of years, I’ve experimented using motion blur and Photoshop compositing techniques to explore and dissect some of those moments in search of an abstract perspective.
Most recently, in a total departure from the protocol of street photography, I have cut people out of my photographs, to relocate them into stories of my own making. Sometimes putting them into different places, with different people, doing things in different times to create my Fictional Moments. My objective is to bend the moments into something else, something that I find interesting, or otherwise amusing, or maybe disturbing.
